I'm no photographer, and this isn't a 365 blog. Time from time I take an interesting photo that I think should be shared and this is where it goes.

RON YOU A RHONNDDA!!
So... I'm guessing you can imagine my shock here.
Ron is indeed not a Ron. Rather a Rhonda. and I know I said that I was going to call her Ron even if it was a her...but if I did that I wouldn't have anything to call the guys :)
Anyway, Sean was leaving and told me to come outside because there was another spider in Ron's web. So I grabbed my camera and sat outside for a while waiting for something to happen.
Personally I thought a spider battle royal was going to happen, so I was telling Ron how she could totally kick the other spiders ass because she was twice his size.
Then another spider made his way into Rhonda's web...
So I went inside to get some chocolate milk. Cause they were just chilling and having a stare down
When I came back outside Rhonda and a Ron were in a ball..
I didn't know if they were eating each other or doing it. But since Rhonda is still alive I'm assuming that they were doing it. Plus one of the Rons now has a web under Rhonda's.
huh.

Silly Puppy
So a lot of these were taken with my IPhone so I know some of the quality could be better, but oh well.
This is Cheech, or Cheche. He is my baby and my brother and my best friend. The Tripple B. He is extremely silly. A lot of the time he sleeps, because that's what chill animals do, and when he sleeps he likes to get under things. For example, my pillow. So whenever I come home and I go to plop down in my bed I have to be careful because he's usually right in the middle of the bed.

This Is What's In Your Backyard
This guy has been chilling on my back porch for the past week. I named him Ron. And if it's a girl...I guess she'll have to live with Ron. Anyhow since spiders are so chill I'm able to get really close to him, and then with zoom, ohh baby. As you can see, it can get pretty detailed. Something you should do is save one of the pictures of Ron up close, and then zoom in on whatever picture software you have. It's so insane. And I know some of the pics are crappy, but they weren't taken for the spider, a lot are for his web.
Just Keep Swimming
Have you ever tried taking a picture of fishies? It's surprisingly hard. 1, the camera wants to focus on the glass, not the fish. 2, the fishies always move!!
Anyway these were my fishies. Past tense because they all died :/ fungus and other stupid stuff. I have plans on making the fish tank into a terrarium though, which I think would look kind of neat.

So High Up
This is Jumbalini. He is a very nice (and apparently famous) elephant. He is the lovely ellie who I got to ride for an hour or so. You always hear the analogy about being as dry as an elephant, well trust me, they are rock solid hard and dry. I kind of thought they would be a bit soft but dryish. Nope. Their ears are extreamly soft though!
Kudu
This is a male kudu. Isn't he just so gorgeous? When he gets a bit older his horns will grow insanely long and be extreamly gorgeous (not that they aren't already)
Defend Yourself
So River lodge has lots of monkeys. Mischievous monkeys that try to take your food. So Jo gave me a water gun to fend off any monkeys that wanted to take our food. Needless to say I felt like a badass, however no monkey was brave enough to try and take my food. Oh well, I got to squirt one anyway :)
So Mainstream
This is a Lady Gaga giraffe. Usually giraffes just extend their legs forward so they can drink and whatnot but this guy didn't want to conform so he got funky with it. Damn hipsters.
What A Bro
This was pure dumb luck. Joe (our guide) had stopped the jeep and was showing us this falcon and talking about him. I was just absentmindedly taking pictures of him and we all watch this little bird come out of absolutely nowhere and attack the falcon's head. keep in mind the falcon was minding his own business, just perching there looking high and mighty. We were all like..."what the..." and I look down at my camera and wallah! Pure dumb luck. The falcon didn't do anything. Just chilled.
Inginyama
So lions, of course. It's the one thing everybody asked me about when I got home. We were very lucky that we saw the lions, we literally turned a corner and there they were walking towards us. Even the driver yelped because it was so surprising, literally just around the corner. Anyway the pride had just made a kill and some of the lions had some blood on their paws so they were very relaxed and just layed down for a while. It was so surreal because the lions were literally maybe 7 or 8 feet away, and before that when they walked past us they were no less than 2 feet. I have a video of that and I think I might try to upload it. It's really not exciting at all but it was just too cool.
House Spider On Steroids?
Let me just say this is always going to be my favorite picture forever.
I was sitting next to him and we were just chilling and I look over my shoulder and yelp and jump off the stairs we were on. Dad of course has no idea what I'm doing and I start laughing and tell him not to move. Okay, when somebody says ''don't move'' the person usually moves, just like dad did. He started to freak out a bit so I told him there was a spider on his back and I needed to get a picture of it before it moved. He didn't want me to but I did anyway since it seemed like a very nice spider. I got the picture and Dad didn't die.
Win-win situation :)
Zazu
This is what Zazu from The Lion King looks like in real life. It's the red-billed horn-bill and they were everywhere around our first lodge. These two in particular were really funny. Dad and I would just be resting in our hut and they would sit on our windowsill and tap on the glass. Of course when we moved towards the window they would fly into the tree and act all innocent like they hadn't been doing anything.
Sneaky Sneaky
These are impala and they are everywhere. The particular area where these were taken is actually an emergency run way and all the animals hang out here to graze and do other animal things.
The really fun thing about these pictures though is the golden orb web spider that snuck her way into the shot. She had a web built right smack dab in the middle of two bushes that I was shooting between. In the picture above she is harder to see but is near the top rightish. Below is much easier to see because she's right above the impala with one horn.
Dumbo
This is obviously an elephant. Actually it is the matriarch of the herd we saw and the whole time we were there she faced us like this and growled. She did it because her herd had two or three babies with them. By the way, did you catch that I said she growled? Yep, ellies have this low grumbling sound that they use in the wild because it isn't safe to 'trumpet' all the time.
Aracnaphobia
To start off this blog I naturally choose Africa, because I got great shots there.
This is a picture of a Golden Orb Web Spider. In certain parts of the world this spider can grow so large that it can eat small birds, but the ones I was around were not, although they were crazy large and by that I mean at least the size of my hand if not bigger.
Obviously you can tell why they're named the way they are, their webs are literally golden and are so incredibly thick and strong(I had the luck to walk through a few). These spiders were literally all over the place at the first lodge we were at so I got to get nice and up close.
